A dominant display overall from Daly's Insurance saw Greg Davis sail to his fourth consecutive title in the 2009 Eden Island Lipton Cup, and will see the prestigious trophy remain at the Royal Cape Yacht Club for at least another year.
Davis won for the fourth consecutive time and is now the most successful skipper in the history of the event with 8 titles under his belt.

After an abandoned second race, Tuesday finally saw some more action in the 2009 Eden Island Lipton Cup Tuesday, with favourite and defending champion Greg Davis continuing his charge for a fourth consecutive title.
An enthusiastic fleet took to the water for the second race of the 2009 Eden Island Lipton Cup, but a lack of wind kept them waiting in anticipation.
The scheduled noon start was postponed as they waited for the winds to settle and after one recall the race finally got underway. But the excitement soon disappeared as the wind died down, forcing the race to be abandoned.

Greg Davis stormed to victory on the first day of the 2009 Eden Island Lipton Cup, with his main challenger Mark Saddler battling into second on leaking boat at the Royal Cape Yacht Club (RCYC).
The conditions were beautiful and I was very happy with the result, said Davis, who was aboard the RCYC entry Daly's Insurance.
